Chocoloate Mousse by Mrs. Freilich

Once upon a time, to be more precise in 1971, Inge was in London working as an au pair in the house of Mrs. Freilich. Mrs. Freilich was often hosting dinner parties and one of her favorit desserts was Chocolate Mousse. And also Inge loved it :)

Now in 2015 she finally revealed the secret, giving us the original recipie after we enjoyed it for dessert. Here we go ...

  1. Break 4 oz (~120 g) of good quality dark chocolate into squares, put it in a fireproof dish. Preheat an oven to 150C  and let the chocolate melt for appr. 10 minutes.
  2. When chocolate is soften take it from oven, stir in 4 well beaten yolks, then add 1 oz (~30 g) of softened butter.
  3. Stir in the juice of 1 orange or orange liqueur such as Grand Marnier or Curacao.
  4. Whisk the four whites and fold into chocolate mixture.
  5. Pour into little pots, glasses of coffee cups.
  6. Put into refrigerator until ready to serve.
The slice of orange used for decoration was added by Lois in 2015 ;) Enjoy!
